My wife and I recently purchased a home in Santa Ynez and wanted to have it remodeled before moving in. We interviewed several contractors but eventually settled on Cole (Brancati) because we felt he could offer the quality of work we wanted within our budget constraints. As with most construction and remodel projects, ours ended up being 150% over-budget; but, I can honestly say most of that was due to our ever increasing demands and changing work orders. Even while spending much more than we anticipated we couldn't be happier with the work he did or our finished home. The value added was greater than the cost.
Cole is a working contractor and perfectionist, and it shows in his work. I have had work done on other homes in the past (both remodel and new construction) and this was the first time the punch out list was practically nonexistent. His team of workers and subcontractors are competent and professional. They work hard, including overtime and weekends to bring the project in on time. As noted above, we had many work order changes, and he would always try to find ways to reduce costs and expedite the work so we could move in on time. The finished product was practically turnkey. Tv's, internet, water, etc.. were all hooked up and ready to go. The only thing left to us was the laborious task of moving clothes and furniture (which even he helped with).
Throughout the entire project Cole was always accessible, promptly responding to questions and concerns. He was honestly available whenever we needed him. He was also very transparent, opening his books and going over expenses whenever we had questions.
I would (and have) highly recommend Cole (Brancati Construction) with absolute confidence that whomever works with him will not be disappointed.

Cole heard that we were planning a modern, sustainable house in Santa Ynez, and he called me with interest in working on it. I explained that as the owner / architect I would be managing the construction, but I would be glad to get his prices on various trades, beginning with framing. Cole was game, and we ended up working with Brancati Construction for a fair amount of the work. Cole understands details and craft, which is a pleasure, he is quite business-like, and his team is professional and easy to work with. We recommend Brancati Construction highly for thoughtful, carefully built construction.
